We have arrived!

So yesterday was the big day. We got up at 4am Arizona time, had a 2 hours flight to San Francisco, sat around SFO for nearly 3 hrs and then had a 12hr flight to Seoul, Korea. Since the kids didn't sleep a lot on the planes, and were awake until 7:30pm Seoul time (3:30am Arizona time), I thought that they might just sleep through the night. Nope. Yahaira was up at 1am looking for some food, Little Man got up at 1:30am and Israella was up at 1:50am. It's now 2:20am local time and they are wide awake. I thought we lucked out with this jet lag thing, but nope. Maybe it will only take a few days...but we are adjusting 16 hours ahead of what we were used to...

TUC to SFO:

Here is all our stuff we took on the plane with us to Seoul. It was a thing of contention, Daniel wanted to throw all of this away, and all our checked luggage too. But, some of this stuff is a necessary evil. Like say, the carseats. I do not want to chuck the ones we have just to turn around and buy new ones once we got to Korea. Our clothes are kind of a necessity too. The only clothes I had shipped to Korea back in May were our winter clothes. All the other clothes we took with us to Arizona for the 3 months of summer.

We ended up checking 7 bags, carrying on 2 carseats, 1 backpack a person (5 total) and I had a small bag with the kids' water bottles, books and markers. Before we left Sierra Vista, I shipped 4 boxes and took 2 trips to the Goodwill. In Phoenix I shipped 8 boxes and made on more drop at the Goodwill. And we still had all of this!

SFO to INC:

Daniel fell asleep before we even left the gate. He slept for the first 2 hours

 The seat arrangements weren't quite what we had hoped for, but they ended up being economy plus, so we won't complain. Daniel and the 2 girls had 3 seats in the middle of the plane. Little Man and I had 2 seats on the left (in a 3 seat grouping). We had a window and middle seat. A lady had the aisle seat next to me. Now 12 hours with a 2 year old and being on the inside seats doesn't lend itself to being get-up friendly. I don't know how many times that poor lady had to getup to let us out. At one point she was asleep, Israella had to pee and Daniel was walking little Daniel around the back of the plane. I ended up jumping over the lady to get out because I didn't want to wake her for the millionth time...though my jumping over her just might have done that. In the picture on the right, the girls had received ice cream sundaes from one of the Korean flight attendants. We were 4 rows back from first class, and so I guess the first class flight attendant took a liking to the girls.

 On the bus ride to in-processing...hopefully we can be done with that today and on our way to finding our home!

 I must say, I found Korea to be a beautiful place (the whole 1 hour drive I saw yesterday). Though it was grey and drizzly, the place is so green. I love green! I can't wait to get out and explore this country!
